Welcome to Birdie Bliss!

These Terms of Service apply when you visit or purchase from the Birdie Bliss website.

Birdie Bliss is a small business offering a carefully selected range of bird toys, accessories, enrichment products and handmade items for companion birds.

By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies referred to within them.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Our Products

We take care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs and other information on our website are as accurate as reasonably possible.

Please be aware that colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, device or settings.

Some Birdie Bliss products are handmade. Because handmade products are made individually, there may be small variations in appearance, colour, texture or finish between products. These variations are part of the character of handmade items and do not affect your statutory rights.

We reserve the right to update product descriptions, prices and availability and to discontinue products where necessary.

We will always aim to ensure that the information relating to a product is accurate at the time you place your order.

3. Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.

After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This confirms that we have received your order, but does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where, for example:

a product is unavailable;
there has been an obvious pricing or product description error;
we suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity; or
we are unable to fulfil the order for another genuine reason.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.

4. Prices and Payment

All prices displayed on the Birdie Bliss website are in pounds sterling (£).

The price you pay will be the price displayed at the time you place your order, unless there has been an obvious error.

Any applicable delivery charges will be shown before you complete your purchase.

We may run promotions or special offers from time to time. Any specific terms applying to a promotion will be made clear at the time of the promotion.

Payment must be made using the payment methods available at checkout.

5. Delivery

We will provide information about available delivery options, estimated delivery times and delivery charges during the checkout process.

We aim to dispatch orders as quickly as reasonably possible and will keep you informed where there is a significant delay.

If an unexpected delay occurs, we will contact you where appropriate.

Unless otherwise agreed with you, we will aim to deliver your goods within 30 days of the contract being entered into.

6. Returns and Refunds

For most online purchases, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, subject to applicable exceptions. If you exercise this right, you generally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Certain goods may be excluded from the normal cancellation right where a specific legal exception applies.

7. Handmade Products

Some Birdie Bliss products are handmade by us.

We take care when selecting materials and making our products, and we aim to provide clear information about each product so that you can make an informed choice.

Handmade products may have minor variations from photographs or from one another because each item is made individually.

Our handmade products remain covered by your statutory consumer rights.

8. Product Safety and Responsible Use

Birdie Bliss products are intended for companion birds and should be used appropriately and according to any product-specific information or instructions provided.

Bird owners are responsible for supervising their birds when introducing new toys, accessories, perches or enrichment products and for regularly checking products for signs of wear or damage.

Any damaged or significantly worn product should be removed from use.

Where a product includes specific safety or usage information, please read and follow it carefully.

If you have any concerns about the suitability of a product for your bird, please contact us before purchasing.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Birdie Bliss website, including our name, logo, Benny character, images, photographs, graphics, written content, designs and other original material, belongs to Birdie Bliss or is used with permission.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially use our content without our written permission.

Benny is a virtual character created for Birdie Bliss and is not a real bird or product tester.

10. Third-Party Websites and Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including social media platforms or other websites that may be useful to our customers.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices or policies of third-party websites.

If you choose to visit a third-party website, you do so subject to that website's own terms and policies.
